Beginning our long journey, Morgan and I outside Fent's house.
The first (most painful and crowded) trotro.
Morgan and I in back of that dreadful tro - notice how high up our legs were. This is also when only the two of us were back there, so by the time we set off, we were squished into the corner.
At Mole National Park.
Isn't this elephant so beautiful? Courtney, we were so close! You would have loved seeing him! He was 69 years old. :)
Fent and I on the safari ride.
I cannot begin to even describe how beautiful Mole was! (That is our jeep in the bottom left of the photo.)
Those are baboons on the tree. (Oops, maybe I should have put up a more close up picture.)
Such beauty.
On the trotro from Damongo to Tamale Junction.
While we were driving from Bolga to Paga to see the crocodiles, the sky was so amazing. There was a divide in half of stormy sky and clear blue. It was phenomenal. This picture does not do it justice (then again, none of these really actually do, unfortunately).
I got to hold his tail. :) Wicked cool. He was a feisty one though!
Poor chicken. :(
Happy after devouring the chicken. :/
Pikworo Slave Camp - so beautiful.
This was a natural spring that provided a constant supply of water for the slaves.
The holes in the rock were what were used as plates for the slaves to eat.
Drumming rocks.
Morgan and I drumming.
This is the market place where the slaves were chosen to be bought. They had there last meal here.
The watch tower.
The punishment rock. Do you notice how worn down it is?
On our truck ride.
The pick-up.
My face was sooo dusty after getting off of the pick-up.
Motorcycle! Woot!
All of us on the bikes.
Fent's house in Vamboi.
Morgan and I looking rough but finally on our last bus ride home.
Ahh the elephant! <3
